USAAF ATC / CBI Pilot's Type B-3 Shearling Flight
Jacket
Named to "W.J. Sutton" - this is a rare (size 48) jacket, and an early 42'
dated two-toned example.
A Government contract label and according to the drawing number and order
number information this was made by "Berstein & Co." which I
believe only made shearling clothing for the Government
during WWII. Features a nice theater made "India China
Division - Air Transport Command" (ICDATC) patch to right
chest and a standard decal on leather Air Trasport Command
patch to left chest.
About the only issue on the jacket, the shearling has torn
away a bit (about 6") towards the very top of the zipper run
(as pictured), but is fairly un-noticeable with the jacket
zipped up.
The zipper functions fine. It displays beautifully!

jacket was made by "Cable Raincoat Co." in (size 40).

knits, original "Kwik" zipper fully functional, original
liner, spec and size tags. The leather body is still very
solid, with some condition issues as shown. The liner

from the family and was reportedly worn by the vet in the
camps while a POW. Magennis was shot down on his second
mission ~ June 13, 1943 (early!) over Kiel, Germany (MACR
4898). Magennis was interned at Stalag Luft 7A until the
